A: Yantian is a natural deep-water port. The water depth along its quayside and waterways is as deep as 16 metres. With modern computer management systems and advanced operational equipment, YICT is capable of handling the world's largest container vessels.
 
Q: What are the dimensions of a quay crane and its maximum lifting capacity?
A: YICT is equipped with several kinds of quay cranes. The largest crane weighs 1,480 tons with an outreach of 65 metres. Its lift height is 42.2 metres while its achievable lift weight is 61 tons.
 
Q: What size are YICT's berths?
A: YICT has five 5,000-plus TEU berths in Phases I & II, four 9,000-plus TEU berths in Phase III, and five 10,000-plus TEU berths and a 3,000 TEU berths in the Expansion Project.

A: Currently, YICT has over 2,000 employees, including staff from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as expatriates from several different countries.
 
Q: What kind of relationship does YICT have with Yantian Port Group and Yantian Port Holdings?
A: YICT is a joint venture established by the Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) Group and Shenzhen Yantian Port Group (YPG). HPH is the company's major shareholder. Yantian Port Holdings (YPH, stock No.000088) is a subsidiary member wholly owned by YPG. As well as holding shares in YICT, YPH also has other business interests.
