Well Structured Learning Curriculum
YICT has created a systematic and forward-looking learning curriculum. We not only conduct technical training programs to improve our staff's hard skills in container terminal operations, but also offer soft skill training courses, including problem solving, communication, and service skills. Through diversified training courses including required courses, selective courses, seminars, visits and workshop, our staff learn to continuously improve their specialised knowledge and techniques based on job needs so as to enhance the value of the individual and his / her further development, and to advance the construction of a corporate culture.

Specialised Technical Training
YICT has introduced systematic and comprehensive technical training to equip its staff with necessary and up-to-date technical knowledge and skills. The training ranges from terminal operations to the maintenance and repair of terminal equipment and facilities. Besides supporting ongoing port development and the increasing need for talents, the technical training also helps the staff to meet the related post requirements set by the government in order to obtain work licenses.

Tailored Development Programs
YICT is customising diversified talent development programs for management trainees and new staff at different position levels. We select, train and reserve talents for future expansion of our own organisation, as well as for HPH. Self-study Sponsor Programs
YICT encourages all staff to make use of their spare time to join specialised courses or management courses by providing financial support. This helps them to increase their knowledge and improve their management abilities for YICT's future development.

External Training Programs
To meet the working needs of the staff and requirements of company development, we provide the staff with opportunities for domestic and international study, exchanges and visits in order to increase their knowledge and improve their working skills while also gaining advanced management methods and experience.

Library
The YICT library has a variety of video, audio as well as reading materials. There are different kinds of books, magazines, periodicals, newspapers covering the subjects of languages and literature, management, self-development and port industry. The library is another learning resource assisting our staff to increase their knowledge and self-learning ability.

Quay Crane Simulator Training Centre
The Quay Crane Simulator Training Centre provides a safe, indoor training environment, where the engineering staff can have training simulating different operation models set in various work situations. Moreover, it enables the staff to complete their training in a short period by accelerating the training process.

Online Self-Study Platform
The staff can study on their own by taking online training curriculums. Everyone can flexibly arrange his / her time for study according to his / her own schedule. He / She can also review the lessons anytime. The curriculums take an interactive form, according to the characteristics of adult study, making the learning process full of fun. The management can track the staff's study progress and learn about their study situation at any time.
