Along the four-kilometer-long quayside of YICT stand rows of blue super-sized quay cranes busily handling containers every day. If a quay crane remains idle for 15 minutes consecutively, its power will be automatically cut off to avoid further waste. By means of modification of quay cranes' power control mode, YICT is able to use 1,980,000 kWh less of electricity a year.

As a leading container terminal in the industry, YICT endeavors to explore ways, through eco-friendly technologies, to reduce its footprint and develop a green port beneficial to the local environment.
