COSCO and Yang Ming Jointly Launch US West Coast Service

On 20 March 2003, COSCO’s “Lausanne” made a maiden call at YICT to commence CPNW, a US West Coast service jointly operated by COSCO and Yang Ming. The inaugural vessel is 230 metres long with a capacity of 2,700 TEU.

A total of five vessels with an average shipping capacity of 2,800 TEU have been deployed on the new service. CPNW calls at Yantian every Thursday with the rotation of Shanghai, Yantian, Hong Kong, Yokohama, Vancouver and Seattle.
