YICT organises a green initiative under the theme of ‘Go Green’ for its staff to exchange second-hand goods

On 18 September 2015, YICT organised a green initiative for its staff to exchange second-hand goods. There was an overwhelming response, with about 900 goods finding new owners by the end of the event.

The second-hand market is part of the joint activities coordinated by the world’s leading port operators – Hutchison Port Holdings, DP World, APM Terminals, PSA International and SIPG – which run under the common theme of ‘Go Green’ and echo YICT’s green credentials. A charity auction was also held during the event, with RMB10,554raised to sponsor the Yunnan Hope Primary School Project.

As a responsible corporate citizen, YICT promotes eco-friendly practices among its staff in both the work environment and daily life, in an effort to create a green port.
