YICT Takes Delivery of New Quay Cranes and RTGCs

Four quay cranes and two RTGCs arriving at YICT

On 30 November 2015, YICT took delivery of four new quay cranes and two new rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGCs). The quay cranes have a lift height of 52 metres and an outreach of 70 metres, suitable for the largest vessels in the world. The new 1-over-6 RTGCs will increase YICT’s yard stacking capacity and container handling efficiency. Following on-site testing, the new machinery will be put into operation in 2016 to harness the port's ability to handle mega-vessels.
