"Interactive Voice Response System" Operational
A A A 缩小 加大 更大

On 17 October 2003, YICT launched the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). Truck drivers can now check information regarding typhoons, gatehouse services and container pickup by calling (86-755) 25180000 one hour before arrival. In addition, drivers can also obtain similar information by sending mobile text messages to 13828892229.

To assist with any difficulties truck drivers may encounter when picking up containers, the IVRS also has a service hotline.  In the future, the system will allow the ability to book appointments for container pick up, information on storage fees and Customs release of imported laden containers.

This is the second information service provided to truck drivers subsequent to the launch of the mobile text messaging service in November 2002.  IVRS will play an important role in eliminating unnecessary queues and improving the efficiency of truck drivers.
