On 12 October 2017, Yantian International Container Terminals received Information Security Management System-ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certificate from the British Standards Institution (BSI), becoming the first container terminal appraised in China.
On 27 October 2017, the volunteer team and staff representatives from Hutchison Ports Yantian (Yantian) joined a party celebrating Chinese Seniors’ Day with the elderly residents of the Yantian District Social Welfare Centre.
On 21 September 2017, the Shenzhen International Frozen Food Enterprises Symposium was held at Yantian. More than 70 representatives of frozen food enterprises from around the world were in attendance.
Berth#16, with a quay length of 886 metres and water depth alongside of 17.6 metres, has been officially approved by the Transport Commission of Shenzhen Municipality to accommodate 200,000-DWT container vessels.
On 11 August 2017, a total of 24 students from Dalian Maritime University and Shenzhen University successfully completed their three-week summer internship at Yantian with impressive presentations on their projects.
In August 2017, Yantian International Container Terminals received another two new feeder services. Now there are 12 feeder services connect Yantian to ports in the Pearl River Delta region and its periphery.
