On 24 January 2003, Evergreen’s “Ever Uranus” made an inaugural visit to YICT to commence the second Europe Service –WAEW operated by the Evergreen Group at YICT. This brings the total number of Europe Services calling at YICT to 11.
Evergreen has deployed 12 vessels in the new service. Eight of these vessels have capacities of 5,600 TEU, while the remaining four have capacities of 4,600 TEU. WAEW calls at Yantian every Wednesday with the rotation of Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Colombo, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Thamesport, Zeebrugge and Le Harve.
