Hutchison Ports YANTIAN (YANTIAN) garnered the “Best Container Terminal – Asia (Over 4 million twenty-foot equivalent units)” award for the third time, at the 2025 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards Ceremony.
YANTIAN, one of the world’s largest container terminals, records an annual throughput of over 15 million TEUs. With 20 deep-water berths and unique 18-metre-deep natural channel in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, YANTIAN handles one-third of the foreign trade container traffic of Guangdong province. YANTIAN has access to most destination ports worldwide via its 100 weekly services, including an average of 10 daily sailings to Europe and North America, i.e. the highest frequency in the Greater Bay Area. As the last port-of-call in South China, YANTIAN enables the cargo to reach its final destinations as fast as possible, for example, 11 days to Australia and 12.5 days to the U.S. West Coast.
YANTIAN also offers one of the most extensive and green intermodal solutions in China, harnessing rail and feeder networks. With 17 feeder services, 33 rail-sea services and 20 inland ports, YANTIAN provides stable and efficient channels for the Greater Bay Area, Southwest and Central China to connect with global markets.
Lawrence Shum, Managing Director of YANTIAN said, “In the past eight years, YANTIAN has been named the “Best Container Terminal – Asia (Over 4 million TEUs)” thrice and the “Best Green Container Terminal” four times. We thank our clients who cast their votes for us. YANTIAN will continue to collaborate with our customers, partners and stakeholders as well as Kwai Tsing Container Terminals in Hong Kong to develop an efficient, resilient and sustainable supply chain.”
