Standing Firm Under Pressure: YANTIAN Introduces New Measures to Ensure Smooth Supply Chains
A A A 缩小 加大 更大

As the Chinese New Year approaches, the pre-holiday shipping peak has arrived as scheduled, bringing the traditional surge in concentrated export shipments. Across the country, the port and maritime logistics sector is now confronting a critical operational test. In the face of this formidable challenge, YANTIAN has remained resilient, working hand in hand with industry partners, relevant government authorities, and port supervisory authorities to advance against headwinds and jointly navigate this demanding period, ensuring the efficient and stable operation of supply chains.

To secure smooth cargo flows and safeguard the stability of foreign trade supply and industrial chains, YANTIAN has made early preparations and rolled out a series of targeted optimisation measures:

1️⃣Expanding capacity ahead of the holiday to keep shipments moving smoothly

Consistently upholding its customer-first philosophy—anticipating needs and responding with urgency—YANTIAN has taken proactive steps to meet peak-season demand:
✅No restrictions: All shipping services will continue to accept export laden containers in line with normal ETAs, with no adjustments to carrier quotas.
✅Additional capacity: An extra 1,000 daily booking slots will be released, increasing the export laden container booking quota from 13,000 to 14,000 TEUs per day from February 9 to 14. This maximises shippers' ability to deliver cargo to the port during the peak period.

2️⃣Proactive planning to optimise yard resources

In anticipation of peak-season demand, YANTIAN has implemented forward-looking adjustments to its yard layout and dispatch strategy, effectively unlocking additional stacking capacity across the terminal. These measures ensure the smooth acceptance of export laden containers while markedly enhancing container turnover efficiency, laying a solid operational foundation for high-performance vessel handling.

3️⃣All systems go to secure seamless operations

Terminal facilities have been fully mobilised, with quay cranes and RTGCs operating at full throttle. Meanwhile, all A/B in-gate lanes have been opened, and YANTIAN has worked in close coordination with traffic police to maintain orderly traffic outside the port. Together, these efforts guarantee the efficient flow of trucks in and out of the terminal, creating a true "fast lane" for loading and unloading operations.

4️⃣"Energy Station" to support truck drivers

With heavy truck traffic and high yard density ahead of the holiday, operations have been especially demanding. To ease the pressure of the pre-holiday logistics peak and express appreciation to the hardworking truck drivers on the road, YANTIAN has set up a special "Energy Station" at the A/B in-gate lanes, offering care packages to drivers along with warm messages. All drivers are also frontline contributors to the stability of foreign trade supply and industrial chains—true pioneers in keeping logistics flowing smoothly.
