On 18 May 2009, YICT welcomed the first call of Hanjin's China-Mediterranean Express (CMX) Service. The EU service includes eight 5,000-TEU vessels, including the Hanjin Helsinki, which made the inaugural voyage.
CMX vessels call at Yantian every Monday, following a port rotation of Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Suez Canal, Port Said, Malta, La Spezia, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Malta, Suez Canal, Port Klang, Singapore and Busan.
