On 21 October 2008, the Container Branch of the China Ports Association designated YICT as the best of China's container terminals in its "Top 10 Container Terminals in China" ranking. This is the fifth straight year that YICT has topped the appraisal, which also evaluated 93 other Chinese container terminals. YICT also received awards for quay crane rate and vessel productivity.
By continuously improving its terminal operations and services, including customs clearance, IT and supply chain services, YICT has been able to increase its competitiveness and provide enhanced support for importers and exporters throughout Guangdong and the rest of China.
