Carlsberg On Board YICT's Container Rail Service
A A A 缩小 加大 更大

On 17 August 2008, a freight train, one that was deployed to YICT's Kunming – Yantian Container Rail Service and loaded with 4,000 bottles of Carlsberg beer, left Huizhou in Guangdong for Kunming in Yunnan. Then, on its return trip to Yantian, the train was loaded with tobacco for export via Yantian Port. This is but an example of the logistics developments marking another significant breakthrough in YICT’s tailor-made solutions to better serve its customers in Guangdong and Yunnan.

Yunnan is a major tobacco export province in China, while Carlsberg Brewery Guangdong Ltd., located in Huizhou, is Carlsberg's major production base in China. By providing cost-effective logistics solutions, including truck allocation, railway transport, efficient port operations and streamlined Customs procedures, YICT helps meet the transport needs of both Carlsberg in its entry into Kunming and Kunming's tobacco export industry. This also greatly benefits cargo owners from the two regions concerned. By using this weekly container rail service, Carlsberg can save three days of transport time when entering Kunming.
