YICT Welcomes its Fourth New Service This Month

On 17 June 2003, Trans-pacific Express (TPES), a US Service, jointly operated by Compañía Chilena de Navegación Interoceánica S.A. (CCNI), Maruba s.c.a (MAR), TMM Lines Limited (TMM) and Lykes Lines Limited (LYKS), made its inaugural visit at YICT. TPES is the fourth new service to call at the terminal this June.The new service calls at Yantian every Tuesday and has a rotation of Shanghai, Hong Kong, Yantian and Long Beach. A total of five vessels have been deployed for this new service. The inaugural vessel, “Santa Federica/243E,” is 183.2 metres long and has a shipping capacity of 2,169TEU.
