YICT welcomed the launch of its first KSX Service for the New Year on the night of 2 January, 2003. The KSX is an intra-Asia service, jointly operated by Gold Star Line and KMTC. The inaugural vessel, Hong Kong Star, which arrived at Yantian, is under Gold Star Line. The Hong Kong Star is also Gold Star Line's first vessel to call at YICT.
The new service calls at Yantian every Thursday, with the rotation of Kwangyang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Pasir Gudang, Yantian, Hong Kong, Keelung and Kwangyang.
