On 25 September 2002, YICT's entry gatehouse handled 12,545 containers. It even received 8,174 container trucks on the following day. These are the highest numbers since YICT commenced operations.
To cope with the ever-increasing cargo growth, YICT has renovated CY#1, rented two off-dock CYs, purchased 17 RTGCs, 2 double-box frontloaders and 5 container frontloaders, recruited 60 QC and RTGC drivers and undertaken contingency arrangements as well in the peak time. These initiatives have effectively ensured terminal operation efficiency.
