Starting from 11 April 2002, UA has started to add Yantian call in the European route of its PDN pendulum service. On the day, Hanjin's container vessel "Hanjin Valencia" arrived at Yantian to kick off this adjustment. "Hanjin Valencia" has the shipping capacity of 4,024 TEU with the length of 289.5 metres.
The pendulum service is operated by Hanjin and Senator Lines jointly. Its westbound PDNW to Europe is scheduled to call at Yantian on Thursday, while the eastbound to US calls at Yantian on Friday. The PDNW routing follows the sequence as Vancouver, Seattle, Pusan, Kwangyang, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Le Havre, Rotterdam and Felixstowe.
With the rapid growth of cargo shipment, UA has opened up 5 linehaul services at YICT up to now.
