100 YICT Staff Members Become Volunteers

On 31 October 2007, some 100 staff registered as volunteers during a flag-presenting ceremony at YICT.

Mr. Jiang Yansheng, Deputy General Manager of YICT, received a flag from a representative of the Yantian Volunteer Association during the ceremony on the same day. All the new members, dressed in their volunteer uniforms, including Mr. Kenneth Tse, Director and General Manager of YICT, studied the basics of  volunteer work and listened to some "five-star" volunteers from the Association who shared their experience.

Established in 1998, YICT's volunteer group has arranged various volunteer activities, including clearing the seashore, visiting orphans in Children Welfare Institution and touring by bicycle against drug. It has also organised the volunteers to plant trees in Shenzhen every year since 2003. Currently, YICT's volunteer group has a secretariat and has introduced a star grade system into volunteer management.
