On 15 September 2015, Wan Hai Lines launched a promotion for its Japan Thailand Service (NTE) at YICT. Mano Zhu, Executive Vice President of Wan Hai’s Hong Kong and South China, and Patrick Lam, Managing Director of YICT, were present at the event.
The NTE service is the liner’s first Asian service launched at YICT. It is the fastest route from Yantian to Japan, taking only four days to reach Tokyo. Officially launched on 13 August, the service calls at YICT every Thursday following a rotation of Tokyo-Yokohama-Nagoya-Qingdao-Hong Kong-Shekou-Da Nang-Laem Chabang-Bangkok-Laem Chabang-Hong Kong-Shekou-YICT-Tokyo.
As Patrick Lam noted, YICT has maintained a long-standing partnership with Wan Hai since 2001, and consistently provides the liner with premium services.
