On 30 September 2015, a ceremony to honour the signing of a cooperative agreement to establish Yantian as the Demonstrative Port of International Ecological Safety was held at Yantian Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. Under the terms of the agreement, YICT will cooperate with the Yantian District Municipal Government, Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, and the International Ecological Safety Collaborative Organization (IESCO) to establish Yantian as the demonstrative port of ecological security. Attending the ceremony were Zhang Qinrong, Deputy Director-General of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China; Ai Xuefeng, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen; Zhao Zhenshuan, Director-General of the Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau; Wu Delin, Head of the Yantian District Government; and Patrick Lam, Managing Director of YICT.
