On 16 April, 2016, Chen Jining, China’s Minister of Environmental Protection, visited YICT. Accompanied by Xu Qin, the Mayor of Shenzhen, and Patrick Lam, Managing Director of YICT, the Minister and his delegation were given a yard tour of the terminal, including the innovative shore power facilities. Mr Lam hosted the visit and introduced the development of the company and its green initiatives to the guests.
