Lowe’s holds vendor workshop at YICT

On 16 May 2016, Lowe’s, the world’s second largest home improvement retailer, partnered with YICT, shipping lines and third-party logistics companies to organise a vendor workshop at YICT. The aim was to ensure that key stakeholders in the supply chain are ready to fully comply with the International Maritime Organization’s amendments to the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) convention.

At the event, representatives from Lowe’s, YICT and ocean carriers discussed the amended SOLAS processes and guidelines. Approximately 250 suppliers of Lowe’s attended the workshop.
