Yantian Participates in the Establishment and Release of National Standards for Ports of Ecological Safety

On 28 March 2018, the National Standards for Ports of Ecological Safety of the “General Rule on the Establishment of Ports of Ecological Safety” and “Ports of Ecological Safety: Categorisation, Recognition and Management for Ecological Risk”, were released in Shenzhen. Patrick Lam, Managing Director of Hutchison Ports Yantian, was present at the conference.
From 30 September 2015, Hutchison Ports Yantian worked with the Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of the People’s Republic of China (SZCIQ) and the Yantian District Government on the establishment of Yantian as a Demonstrative Port of Ecological Safety. It provided key contributions to the standardisation of the Port of Ecological Safety concept and offered practical insights into how such ecological safety could be managed.
Representatives from the Standardisation Administration of the People's Republic of China, Shenzhen Municipal Government, SZCIQ, Yantian District Government and Yantian Port Group attended the event.
