On 24 May 2019, YANTIAN held its 2019 Customer Communication Session under the theme of “Import & Multimodal, Connected to a Better World”. More than 400 guests, including cargo owners, freight forwarders and representatives of shipping lines, feeder companies, railway lines, warehousing enterprises, government departments and port supervisory authorities attended the event.
Patrick Lam, Managing Director of Hutchison Ports Yantian, delivered a welcome speech. Representatives of related departments shared with customers import business opportunities, development of multimodal transport, new port clearance initiatives and the terminal’s latest technological innovations. A special guest from IKEA was invited to share the experience of successfully importing/exporting goods via the terminal and the innovative practices and development of the green supply chain.
In the face of volatile and complicated foreign trade environment, YANTIAN has worked closely with business partners to explore more development opportunities, including expansion of import services and improvement of service level. At the same time, YANTIAN continues to consolidate its advantages to provide customers with best-in-class services and create greater customer value through technological innovation, optimization of terminal operations, development of green modes of transportation such as railway and feeder services.
