On 24 February 2021, Maersk launched a new South America service AC2 at YANTIAN, providing an alternative route for cargo shipped between YANTIAN and the South America ports. It’s the fifth new service calling YANTIAN this year.

Eighteen 8,000-10,000 TEU vessels have been deployed to the AC2, which calls at YANTIAN every Wednesday and follows a port rotation of Tauranga, Hong Kong, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Busan, Yokohama, Manzanillo, Lazaro, Cardenas, Buenaventura, Guayaquil, Balboa, Manzanillo, Yokohama and Busan.
