On December 5, the 2025 China–Europe Railway Express (Chengdu–Chongqing) Global Partners Conference was held in Qingbaijiang, Chengdu. In recognition of its outstanding comprehensive service capabilities, YANTIAN was awarded the Excellent Service Award, jointly presented by the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and relevant departments of the Chongqing Municipal Government, becoming the only terminal officially recognised by Sichuan and Chongqing authorities.

Held under the theme "Bringing Together Global Partners to Build a World-Class Inland Port Hub," the conference brought together nearly 500 representatives from national ministries and commissions, state-owned enterprises, local governments, logistics companies, and media organisations from China and abroad. The event focused on advancing multi-level collaboration across international supply chains, industrial chains, and value chains, with the aim of further strengthening the Sichuan–Chongqing region's role and influence as a global logistics hub.

The Excellent Service Award is jointly conferred by the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and relevant departments of the Chongqing Municipal Government, following joint recommendations from Chengdu International Railway Port Investment & Development Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Logistics Group. Evaluation criteria centre on three key dimensions: the integrity of logistics corridor development, the stability and quality of service delivery, and contributions to regional economic and social development.

As the sole award-winning terminal, this recognition underscores the strong endorsement of Sichuan and Chongqing governments for YANTIAN's service excellence and hub capabilities. It also highlights the strategic importance of rail-sea service as a critical gateway, enabling enterprises in Southwest China to connect more efficiently and reliably with global markets through stable and high-quality port services.

Since 2025, export cargo volumes from the Chengdu–Chongqing region moving overseas via YANTIAN's rail-sea services have doubled year on year, underscoring the strong market appeal and proven reliability of the Chengdu–Shenzhen-Hong Kong Scheduled Rail-Sea Service and the Chongqing–Shenzhen-Hong Kong Scheduled Rail-Sea Service.

Operating under a fully scheduled model—with fixed timetables, stops, routes, pricing, and trains—these services ensure predictable and dependable departures while cutting transit time from Chengdu to YANTIAN from six days to just two, and enabling delivery to Hong Kong's Kwai Tsing Port within three days. Upon arrival at YANTIAN or Kwai Tsing, cargo seamlessly transfers to international liners, reaching more than 200 countries and regions worldwide. This provides inland exporters with a stable, efficient, and low-carbon gateway to global markets, delivering tangible win-win outcomes for the Chengdu–Chongqing region, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong.

By building an integrated logistics network that combines international shipping, railway trunk corridors, and feeder services, YANTIAN extends its port services deep into China's inland hinterland. This end-to-end solution offers one-stop, fast, and reliable full-chain logistics support for "Made in Sichuan & Chongqing" products, accelerating the global reach of Sichuan home appliances, Chongqing new-energy vehicles, and more.

The Ministry of Transport, the National Railway Administration, and China Railway recently released the 2025 Exemplary Cases of Developing Container Rail-Sea Intermodal Brand Services. Among them, YANTIAN's "Liling–YANTIAN" rail–sea service was recognised as one of ten national exemplary cases—and notably, the only service from Guangdong Province to make the list. This marks another milestone of national recognition for YANTIAN's rail–sea service, following the inclusion of the Chongqing-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Scheduled Rail-Sea Service in November last year. YANTIAN is home to Shenzhen's only railway with direct port access, and its rail-sea service volumes have grown for six consecutive years. The steady expansion of this network has created a solid foundation for the rapid global delivery of Chinese-made products. Since the start of this year, YANTIAN has  12 new inland ports, extending its coverage across South China, Central China, and Southwest China, bringing inland enterprises the true convenience of having a "port at their doorstep." Through its streamlined "factory-to-port direct connection" model, YANTIAN enables international trade enterprises to access global markets with greater speed, certainty, and supply chain resilience.

Today, YANTIAN's inland service network comprises 29 inland ports and 34 rail-sea services, complemented by 15 port alliances in the Greater Bay Area and 17 feeder services, forming a broad, highly coordinated multimodal logistics system.

6.jpgGreen and low-carbon solutions driving sustainable development

Studies show that rail transport reduces carbon emissions per unit of freight turnover by up to 90% compared to road. A fully loaded freight train to YANTIAN can replace around 100 container trucks, making a significant impact in reducing environmental pollution and safety risks, lowering energy consumption, easing road congestion, optimising the transport structure, and supporting China's dual-carbon goals.

As the world's only port to have received the "Best Green Container Terminal" award four times, YANTIAN continues to champion clean energy, promote low-carbon transport standards, strengthen its brand as a green channel, and help enterprises reduce the environmental footprint of cross-border logistics, advancing both sustainability and export competitiveness.

YANTIAN remains committed to facilitating the efficient movement of international trade cargo, supporting Shenzhen's drive to build a g logistics hub with global influence, deepening coordinated openness with central and western regions, and jointly advancing their integration into global industrial and supply chains. Together, these efforts inject fresh momentum into coordinated regional development and contribute to the realisation of China's dual-carbon goals and high-quality international trade development.
