On 29 April 2015, YICT employee Huang Xing and contract worker Dai Wenshuang were conferred the Labour Day Medal of Merit of Shenzhen by the Shenzhen Federation of Trade Unions during a Labour Day ceremony held at the Civic Centre of Shenzhen. The awards honour their outstanding performance in the 8th Shenzhen Vocational Skills Competition, at which Huang Xing won the championship of the quay crane operating event and Dai Wenshuang took the first place in forklift operation in the port sector. Ma Xingrui, Secretary of the Communist Party of China Shenzhen Municipal Committee and Xu Qin, Mayor of Shenzhen, were present at the ceremony.
