On 7 June 2016, an unveiling ceremony was held to mark the establishment of a tax self-service terminal at YICT’s office building. Yu Chaoqun, Director of the State Administration of Taxation, Yantian Branch, and Diana Lee, Finance & Legal Director of YICT, unveiled a plaque commemorating the event.
The self-service terminal is the first of its kind set up by the State Administration of Taxation in an enterprise in China. It is able to provide invoice verification for the enterprise tax-payers of Yantian Port and its periphery, and allows them to upload tax data. The initiative is an effort to optimise tax-paying procedures and cut down costs for enterprise tax-payers.
After the ceremony, representatives from enterprises located at Yantian Port used the terminal to verify invoices.
